A Pacific Melody, Christopher Bond for Cornet in Bb with Brass Band.
Commissioned by and written for Lode Violet & Brass Band Willebroek in 2018, with the debut recording on the bsand's album Rise, released in the same year.
 
This is well within the range of bands and soloists of most abilities.
 
For many, Pacific brings connotations ofgrandeur; the world's largest ocean, stretching across one third of the planet; a blue carpet of depth and beuty. The primary meaning of Pacific is "peaceful", first coined in the mid 16th century and originating from French pacifique and Latin pacificus.
