The design aims to offer the cornet player a warm mellow sound whilst providing absolute clarity and security throughout the register. The B cup is a medium size depth allowing a projected mellow cornet sound, whilst giving great clarity and upper register support. The C cup is a slightly deeper cup, providing a large mellow sound whilst retaining great clarity and flexibility.
