For Cornet in Bb & Brass Band
A Pacific Melody was written for and commissioned by Lode Violet, and recorded on his joint album ‘Rise’ with Kevin Van Giel and Brassband Willebroek, released in 2018.
A heart-wrenching melody is presented, in its minor form at the start of the work, before returning towards the end of the work in a major setting - a transformation which although subtle in nature, provides a striking close.
